Judge Tarek Bitar reopened suddenly the investigation of the 2020 Beirut explosion and charged top security officials, according to Reuters, with the charges remaining unspecified yet.

Austria wants to help Lebanon rebuild Beirut port

According to a statement by the Lebanese Presidency, Austria and other members of the European Union have offered to contribute to the reconstruction of the port of Beirut.

CMA CGM investing $33M in Port of Beirut container terminal

CMA CGM Group said Thursday it will invest $33 million to rebuild and modernize the Port of Beirut container terminal as part of a 10-year operating contract.

CMA CGM wins Beirut Port container terminal deal, plans US$33 million investments

CMA Terminals, a fully-owned subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, will manage and operate the Port of Beirut’s container terminal in Lebanon for the next 10 years.

The French port and terminal operator has been chosen following a bidding process and the 10-year period will start next month.
