Port Boulogne Calais chairman Jean-Marc Puissesseau hopes the phasing-in of additional UK border checks will be as “smooth” as the initial transition into the post-Brexit trading environment.

‘A handful of customs clerks is not enough to prevent post-Brexit traffic chaos’

The UK government has “seriously underestimated” the operability of post-Brexit customs, with the long-term effects being compared to “self-imposed sanctions”.

P&O launches Tilbury-Calais service to beat Dover congestion

Brexit contingency measures continue to build within the UK’s supply chain with P&O announcing a new Tilbury-Calais ferry service.   
P&O’s chief executive Janette Bell said she was “delighted” with the launch, adding that the route would “strengthen” the company’s positions and provide access to a port 25 miles from London.

Exporters say simplified customs plan won’t reduce congestion around Dover

Changes to UK customs procedures in the event of a no-deal Brexit have not eased exporters’ concerns over major delays at the UK’s main ro-ro port of Dover.
