Box volumes skyrocket at port of Klaipeda

The Port of Klaipėda in Lithuania was added to more cargo shipping routes in 2022, which led to an increase in container volumes, particularly in the transshipment sector, handling a total of 1,047,941 TEUs.

Ports of Hamburg and Klaipėda strengthen partnership

The Klaipėda State Seaport Authority and the Port of Hamburg have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to make their cooperation even stronger.

The agreement was formalised during the visit of Dr. Marius Skuodis, Lithuanian Minister of Transport and Communications and Algis Latakas, Director of Klaipėda State Seaport Authority, in Hamburg, where they met with Axel Mattern, CEO of HHM – Port of Hamburg Marketing, and signed the deal.

Konecranes gains another order from Lithuania

In July 2019 Konecranes received an order from Klaipeda Container Terminal (KCT) in Lithuania for two Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes, which will be delivered in Q1 2021. The order follows an earlier agreement for a Konecranes Gottwald Model 5 Mobile Harbor Crane, which was delivered in June 2019.
