SSA Marine unveils first zero-emission equipment at San Diego Port

SSA Marine, one of the world’s largest independent marine terminal operators, has unveiled the inaugural zero-emissions cargo handling equipment at the Port of San Diego’s Tenth Avenue Marine Terminal. This marks the first of six pieces scheduled for introduction over the next 12 to 18 months.

Additionally, the Port of San Diego has finished installing the necessary electrical infrastructure to facilitate the operation of this equipment.

Port of San Diego and US Navy ink agreement

The Port of San Diego and the United States Navy have come to an agreement that will result in the early relinquishment of the United States Navy’s lease at 1220 Pacific Highway.

The Navy has leased the 13,759 square meters facility just east of the B Street Pier between North Harbor Drive and Pacific Highway since 1949, mostly for office use.

Port of San Diego names acting president and CEO

The Board of Port Commissioners of the Port of San Diego has announced that Randa Coniglio will be the acting president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the Californian port.
