Engage Marine has announced that it recently awarded the marine pilot transfer services contract by the Port of Townsville.

Engage have now begun operations which includes the maintenance of the Port of Townsville’s pilot boat vessel ‘Mantaray’ and the safe transfer of marine pilots onto vessels arriving and departing into Abbot Point.

The Port of Townsville in Queensland, Australia, has found a local solution in its search for specialised industrial pavers for its new AU$30 million (US$18.5 million) crane and cargo container terminal.

Port of Townsville to expand pilot boat fleet

The Port of Townsville, northern Australia’s largest multi-cargo port, is expanding its fleet of pilot boats to four.

The Port has awarded Hart Marine a A$3 (US$2.03) million contract to build a 17.3m ORC vessel that is due for delivery later in 2020. The new high-tech vessel will be slightly longer, but will have the same design features as the PV Osprey which was delivered by Hart Marine in late 2017.
