Portsmouth International Port selects ABB’s shore connection solution

ABB, a technology leader in electrification and automation, has secured an order from Portsmouth International Port for a shore connection solution for ferries and cruise ships visiting the port.

The Zero Emissions Vessels and Infrastructure competition (ZEVI), sponsored by the UK Government and implemented in collaboration with Innovate UK, has awarded Portsmouth International Port approximately US$25 million (GB£19.8 million).

Portsmouth International Port turns to solar power

The installation of the cutting-edge solar and battery system at Portsmouth’s port has passed a final milestone and is now fully operational.
