PSA Antwerp, a deepsea terminal operator, and Antwerp-based rail terminal Combinant have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create an integrated service enhancing connectivity between PSA’s deepsea terminals and the Combinant Rail Terminal at the Port of Antwerp.

Antwerp Terminal Services and CMB.TECH introduce hydrogen dual fuel straddle carrier

Antwerp Terminal Services (ATS), a joint venture between MSC PSA Europe Terminal (MPET) and PSA Antwerp (PSAA), launched the world’s first H2 dual fuel straddle carrier in the Port of Antwerp.

PSA exceeds 90 million TEUs in 2022

PSA International has announced it handled 90.9 million TEUs at its port projects worldwide in 2022, which represents a 0.7% decline compared with 2021 box volumes.

New cranes to increase Antwerp’s Europa Terminal capacity and reduce emissions

Belgian terminal operator PSA Antwerp has signed an agreement with Austrian crane manufacturer Kuenz and global technology provider in electrification and automation ABB to order 14 new automated stacking cranes (ASCs) for Europa Terminal at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges.

PSA Antwerp inks deal to upgrade Europa Terminal

PSA Antwerp and the temporary partnership Stadsbader/DSG signed an agreement to upgrade the civil and electrical infrastructure for the first phase of the works at PSA Antwerp’s Europa Terminal in Belgium.

The works, which include preparing the yard for new automatic stacking cranes (ASCs), quay cranes and new truck flows, will start on 9 January 2023 and are expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2025.

Port of Antwerp-Bruges, PSA Antwerp give green light for box terminal renewal

Port of Antwerp-Bruges and PSA Antwerp approved the renewal of the quayside and terminal at Europa Terminal.

The works, which will take about nine years and be carried out in three phases, will ensure that the latest generation of container ships can continue to call at Antwerp, Belgium, according to a statement.

Antwerp’s box terminals to be enhanced with 34 Kalmar staddle carriers

The Finnish cargo handling equipment manufacturer Kalmar has signed an agreement with MSC PSA European Terminal (MPET) and PSA Antwerp to supply their terminals in the Port of Antwerp with a total of 34 straddle carriers.

The 29 carriers will be added to MPET’s equipment and the rest of the five will be delivered to PSA Antwerp. All the machines are scheduled to be delivered during the third quarter of 2022

Port of Antwerp prepares for phase two of CPu implementation

Registration for the second phase of the Certified Pick up (CPu) process at the Port of Antwerp is required by the 1 June with the implementation of the next phase beginning on 1 July, according to the port authority.
