Naming ceremony held for latest QatarEnergy newbuilding

A joint venture led by Japan’s K Line, with NYK, China LNG and MISC as shareholders, has recently held a naming ceremony for a 174,000m3 LNG newbuilding being built for QatarEnergy at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding in China. The vessel, Al Tuwar, is the first of a series of 12 LNG vessels that the joint venture companies will build for QatarEnergy, the world’s largest LNG producer, which will allocate them to transport LNG around the world.
