Hamad port achieves ro-ro records

Qatar’s Hamad port broke several important records relating to its ro-ro traffic last year.

This included achieving the highest throughput from a single vessel – 3739 units from the car carrier Thermopylae – and an all-time record for monthly operations in December 2024, with the movement of a total of 16,681 units. Milaha and ASSC sign long term containership charter agreement

Qatar Navigation (Milaha) has signed a long-term charter agreement with the Asian Spirit Steamship Company (ASSC). This agreement represents a significant step toward Milaha establishing a modern and sustainable fleet of feeder container ships, through the acquisition of two 1200 TEU capacity vessels.
