Transnet shortlists port operators for South African box terminals upgrade

The major South African port operator Transnet has announced the shortlisted respondents for private sector participation in the Durban Pier 2 and Ngqura Container Terminals.

For DCT Pier 2, the following ten respondents have been shortlisted and will be invited to proceed to the Request for Proposal (RFP) process:

SGP unveils mega-hub ambitions as it takes over second terminal at KAPD

PSA subsidiary Saudi Global Ports (SGP) wants to make King Abdulaziz Port Dammam (KAPD) into Saudi Arabia’s leading container hub, with a $1.8bn investment.

PSA and DP World in line for major port projects as Chittagong expands

Two global port operators – PSA and Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) – have been shortlisted to construct Bay Terminal, a 12-metre draught facility near Chittagong port.
