Ribcraft enters production phase of $80 million Navy contract

Marblehead, Mass, based rigid inflatable boat specialist Ribcraft USA reports that it recently entered the production phase on its five-year IDIQ contract with the United States Navy to build the standard 7- meter RIB. Under the multi-year contract, Ribcraft will build up to 278 of the 7-meter rigid inflatable boats worth approximately $80 million. This is thought to be the largest single contract based on number of boats ever awarded by the United States Navy.

Ribcraft awarded multiple contracts for California

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife recently took delivery of two new Ribcraft 5.85s. Delivered to the southern district which covers all of Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles and San Diego counties, the new Ribcraft will be operated by one or two wardens for patrol and enforcement operations. At just over 19′, these RIBs can be easily trailered and launched while still delivering open water performance along the Southern California coast.

Ribcraft, Marblehead, Mass., a manufacturer of rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) for law enforcement, safety professionals, and military agencies, announced that the U.S. Navy has awarded the company a five-year indefinite quantity contract worth up to $43 million.

Ribcraft delivers new police boat to Lowell, Mass.

Located on the Merrimack River in Massachusetts, the Lowell Police Department recently took delivery of a new Ribcraft 5.85 for patrol and enforcement duties as well as search and rescue operations.
