Rijeka Gateway, a major logistics project in Croatia, has secured electricity from renewable energy sources for the container terminal operation.
This is expected to reduce CO2 and other harmful gas emissions significantly. The terminal in Rijeka, which is a joint venture between APM Terminals and ENNA Group, will be the most advanced in the Adriatic region, with most of its equipment electrified and largely remotely operated.
