British trade union plans rail strike in UK

United Kingdom’s National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT Union) has announced plans for strike actions on 27 July, 18 August and 20 August, which are expected to disrupt UK’s rail network.

According to the local media, around 40,000 RMT members, including Network Rail signallers and train crew, will participate in the strike in the row over jobs, pay and working conditions.

Maritime union RMT will be joining protesters outside the Dubai owned company HQ on Thursday 21 April at 5pm.

Organised by the International Transport Federation in London outside the offices of DP World, 16 Palace Street London SW1E 5JQ, RMT activists will be keeping up their “Fair Ferries campaign” and calling for the re-instatement of all 800 sacked seafarers.

RMT on detention by MCA of Pride of kent tonight

New crew on P&O ships will be paid at rates well below minimum wage says RMT

In another shocking twist to the national P&O scandal transport union RMT has said that in the future replacement crew on P&O ships will be paid poverty wages below the National Minimum Wage.
