Q&A: Samsara’s journey from the cloud to the Street

Samsara, a developer of the connected operations cloud, raised $805 million in its initial public offering Wednesday after pricing shares at $23 each, the top of the proposed range.

Shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol IOT. The company’s valuation is around $11.5 billion. 

Underwriters have the option to buy an additional 5.25 million shares, equaling $120.75 million in gross value.

Samsara named telematics provider for state of Tennessee

Samsara announced Monday it has been awarded a single-source, multiyear contract to supply its connected operations platform to the state of Tennessee and participating government agency fleets.

Fleet telematics provider Samsara confidentially files for IPO

Samsara Inc. said on Wednesday it has confidentially submitted plans to regulators for a U.S. initial public offering.

The number of shares to be offered and the price range have not been determined, according to a release. The IPO is expected to take place after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission completes its review.

Samsara and EVgo partner to push for more commercial EVs
