Samskip changes its Iberia service

Samskip announces the changes in sailings for Iberia from Rotterdam and Tilbury to Bilbao. The new departures and vessel names are listed below:

Rotterdam – Bilbao (southbound) will now depart ex. Rotterdam on Thursdays and will arrive in Bilbao on Sundays. First sailing will be ENFORCER ETS 18/04.

Bilbao – Rotterdam (northbound) will now depart ex. Bilbao on Mondays and will arrive in Rotterdam on Fridays (discharge only, no southbound loading!). First sailing was with the NEUBURG ETS 09/04.

Expecting demand boom, Samskip introduces pre-Brexit peak surcharge

European shortsea shipping line and multimodal operator Samskip is planning a pre-Brexit peak volume surcharge on shipments to the UK.
The company told customers it was already seeing increased demand for container services to the UK as an alternative to using ro-ro services through the ferry ports.
