Following the ongoing COVID-19 situation, 21 people onboard “Grand Princess” cruise ship have been infected by the virus. Several days ago, the cruise vessel’s passengers were inside their cabins, waiting for the tests results.

At the moment, Grand Princess remains about ten miles off the coast of San Francisco, waiting to receive permission to dock at Port of Oakland, by the US authorities.

USCG partners with agencies to conduct maritime threat exercise

US Coast Guard Sector San Francisco members have scheduled to conduct an inter-agency in conjunction with Alcatraz Cruises on February 5 at 5 p.m. In the exercise approximately 50 participants from Neptune Coalition will take place.

Specifically, the exercise will consist of participants from the Neptune Coalition, a partnership of state, local and federal agencies in favour of safety and security of the Maritime Transportation System within the Bay Area.
