18 companies from the cruise and commercial shipping industry have created the Clean Shipping Alliance 2020 to promote the use of scrubbers to comply with the IMO 0.5% global sulphur cap in 2020.

Scorpio to install scrubbers to majority of its ships

Scorpio Group announced that it will invest significantly in installing scrubbers on the majority of its ships, as a measure to comply with the upcoming IMO 0.5% sulphur cap on marine fuels from 2020.

DHT secures $50 million scrubber financing

Bermuda-based crude oil tanker company DHT Holdings, Inc. (DHT) announced that it has secured commitment to a $50 million financing for its earlier publicized scrubber retrofit project, subject to final documentation. CMA CGM to use LNG and scrubbers for 2020 compliance
