$2.6BN deal sees Stonepeak take 50% stake in CVOW

Dominion Energy Inc. (NYSE: D), reports that it has closed on a transaction to sell a 50% non-controlling interest in the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project to New York City headquartered alternate investment firm Stonepeak.

At closing, Dominion Energy received proceeds of $2.6 billion, representing reimbursement of approximately 50% of project-to-date capital investment. Stonepeak will fund 50% of remaining project costs as they are incurred, subject to certain conditions.

Wärtsilä and Seapeak sign Lifecycle Agreement for ten LNG Carriers

Technology group Wärtsilä has signed a 16-year Lifecycle Agreement with Seapeak Maritime (Glasgow) Ltd, one of the largest independent owner-operators of liquefied gas vessels.

The contract, which took effect in January 2024, covers ten LNG Carriers and is an extension of an earlier Wärtsilä Lifecycle Agreement for these vessels. The new order was booked by Wärtsilä in the first quarter of 2024.

Wärtsilä books fuel system order for ammonia-fueled Exmar duo

Back in October last year Exmar LPG (a joint venture between Exmar and Seapeak) announced that two 46,000 cubic meter gas carriers on order at shipbuilder Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) would be ammonia dual-fueled. The project is moving forward and now Wärtsilä Gas Solutions has booked the order to supply the fuel supply systems for the pair, which will each have two WinGD 52-centimeter bore X52DF‑A main engines.

Antwerp, Belgium, headquartered Exmar LPG BV, a joint venture between Exmar and Seapeak, has ordered what will be the first ever oceangoing vessels to be propelled by dual-fuel ammonia engines: two midsize gas carriers (MGCs) on order at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard in South Korea.
