Trucks have been around quite a while, coming along shortly after “horseless carriages” arrived in the U.S. in the 1890s. In fact, the first semi-truck was built prior to 1900. 

How? Where? Who?

The Winton Motor Carriage Company was founded in 1896 in Cleveland, Ohio, by Alexander Winton, a Scottish-American designer and inventor.

Semi-trucks used in recent suspected sex-trafficking cases in Texas

Authorities in Texas are investigating two recent cases of what they said were planned sex-trafficking operations, both of which involved semi-trucks.

On Friday, the United States Border Patrol in Laredo found a missing girl from Odessa at the Interstate 35 checkpoint. Agents said the girl, whose name and age has not been released, was found inside a tractor-trailer.
