Concor to run inland services from Chennai Port

Container Corporation of India (Concor) will begin train services from the Chennai Port to its inland container depot (ICD) located at Tondiarpet from September 16, the state-run rail hauler of containers said in a trade notice on Thursday, Sep 12.

The rail freight for moving laden containers between Chennai Port and Tondiarpet ICD has been set at 2,100 for a twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) and 3,300 for a forty-foot equivalent unit (FEU), the company said.

COSCO starts new intra-Asian service

In order to increase connectivity of the Balochistan Port, the first container line service has launched between Karachi, Gwadar and the Gulf.

Maersk announces YoYo service blanking

In light of the seasonal slowdown following the Chinese Golden Week national holiday, Maersk will be blanking one return voyage of its YoYo service. This is done to effectively match its capacity offering with the temporary reduction in market demand.

The following scheduled YoYo sailings will be cancelled:
