ZMPC cranes deal boosts the port of Piraeus

COSCO Shipping Ports and Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC), a heavy-duty equipment manufacturer, have signed a contract for three ship to shore (STS) cranes for PCT (Piraeus Container Terminal SA) terminal of Piraeus Port on 27 May.

The contract for the new cranes, which will be equipped with an advanced remote operation and control system, was signed on the cloud platform for the first time with a video link between Hong Kong, Shanghai and Athens in Greece.

PhilaPort receives 2nd wave of mega cranes

PhilaPort received two more super post-Panamax cranes on March 27 morning to the Packer Avenue Marine Terminal. After an overnight transit up the Delaware River, the cranes arrived seamlessly approximately 3:45 A.M.

According to a statement, the cranes are identical to the two that arrived at the Port last year – with a fifth crane due to arrive in this summer.
