A 140-foot offshore vessel Carmen sank near the Albacora oil field in Brazil’s Campos Basin region.

The vessel first started listing and then eventually sank. All 18 crew members were rescued from the vessel’s life rafts after the master ordered abandon the vessel to the crew.

Before the accident, the offshore vessel was conducting Bathymetric survey. According to reports, the offshore vessel on contract with Petrobras.

There are no reports of injury or pollution in the area.

6 Crew Members Rescued From A Sinking Ship Along The Coast Of Xiangshan, Ningbo

At 10:50 on September 21, the Ningbo Maritime Department received a report informing them of the collision that had occurred along the coast of Xiangshan, Ningbo.

Due to the collision accident, the ship named “Shenghang 189” was sinking and urgently needed help. The report said that “Shenghang 189” and “Zhexiang Yuyun 03123” were in the waters north of Tantou Mountain which was positioned approximately: 29 degrees 15 minutes north latitude, 122 degrees 05 longitude Points.

The ship, which was carrying 43 crew members and 5800 cows eventually capsized and sank on September 2nd because of heavy weather by Typhoon Maysak.

The vessel was due to arrive at the Port of Jingtang in Tangshan, China.
