STX receives AiP from LR for LNG-fuelled 50k dwt MR tanker

13 November 2018 – Lloyd’s Register (LR) has presented STX with approval in principle for a 50k dwt MR tanker design capable of using LNG as a fuel. This development is the result of close collaboration between STX and LR.

The naming ceremony has been held for two custom tugs built by Damen Shipyards Hardinxveld for De Boer Remorquage SARL, a joint venture between Dutch Dredging and Iskes Towage and Salvage.
