The adventures of Jonas at sea

Background

Together with 36 other pupils, Jonas sails to the Caribbean and back again on a three-master. The students learn things in practice that are not taught at school: getting to know other cultures, teamwork, perseverance, and independence. During the trip, school will continue as usual. The 26 seafarers are currently being held in Nigeria and face charges for alleged involvement in oil theft and ‘faking’ a piracy attack in breach of the Suppression of Piracy and Other Maritime Offences Act.
