Covington,La., headquartered Laborde Products is partnering with Southwest Shipyard in the construction of four new heater barges. The barges will be equipped with fully mechanical Laborde Products Mitsubishi barge power units and Laborde generators. Southwest Shipyard delivers Shearer Group-designed 23K barrel tank barge

The Shearer Group Inc. (TSGI) has announced the delivery of a 250’x54’x12’-6”, 23,000 bbl. tank barge built by Southwest Shipyard L.P., Houston. (The name of the owner was not disclosed.) Southwest Shipyard contracted TSGI to develop the design of the barge. The barges primary mission is to deliver jet fuel to support U.S. Navy assets.

The Shearer Group, Inc. (TSGI) reports that Houston’s Southwest Shipyard, L.P. has delivered a 250- by 54- by 12-foot, 6-inch, 23,000 BBL tank barge built to a TSGI-developed design.
