In the first half of 2019, Taganrog Sea Commercial Port JSC (TagSCP, a company of UCL Holding) handled 554,000 tonnes of cargo, down 11%, year-on-year. The decrease should be attributed to business decline in foreign trade market dealing with the port’s key types of cargo, coal and grain.

Taganrog Sea Commercial Port injects US$4.3 million in its infrastructure development

In January – September of 2018, Taganrog Sea Commercial Port JSC (TagSCP, part of UCL Holding) invested USD 4.3 million in the port infrastructure development programme, which is 2.5 times as much as in the same period a year earlier.

UCL Holding stevedoring division’s nine-month throughput remains flat, at 27.2 million tonnes

In January-September 2018, companies of UCL Port, a stevedoring division of UCL Holding, handled 27.2 million tonnes of cargo, which is similar to the results of the nine-month period of 2017. 

In the reporting period dry cargo volume grew by 4.2% to 23.4 million tonnes. Handling of oil cargo fell by 24.3% to 3.8 million tonnes with reduction in transshipment via Tuapse and Taganrog.

Exports accounted for 85% of the nine-month volumes, imports made 14%, or 3.9 million tonnes.
