A tanker vessel had reportedly been detained at 14.1 nm off the northwest by the Labuan Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) on May 21 (Saturday).

At about 7.15am AEST on Thursday, 3rd December 2020 a coastal pilot on board the MT Godam contacted Townsville Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) to report a sighting of two people clinging to a timber plank in the water.

14 crew members are missing after two ships collided about 1.5 nautical miles southeast of Yangtze River.

An oil tanker carrying about 3000 tons of gasoline collided with a gravel ship. The oil tanker caught fire and the gravel ship sank after the collision.

The rescue team have so far managed to save three crew members of the total 17 from both ships. 14 crew members ares still missing, local media reported.
