Roadrunner ups driver pay, incentives

Less-than-truckload provider Roadrunner (OTC: RRTS) announced Tuesday a second pay increase for drivers in 2022 as well as a new incentive program.  

Under the new terms, driver teams will see a 20-cent-per-mile bonus, a 4-cent-per-mile increase in network minimum pay and a 25-cent-per-mile hike to deadhead rates. Drivers will also see a 10-cent-per-gallon improvement in fuel discounts with Roadrunner’s preferred partners.

The changes went into effect Monday.

Feds grant Wilson Logistics team-driver flexibility

A new federal exemption will allow Wilson Logistics more flexibility for its drivers holding commercial learner’s permits (CLPs) to participate in revenue-generating loads.

The Springfield, Missouri-based carrier sought the exemption from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to allow CLP holders who have passed the commercial driver’s license (CDL) skills test — but have not yet obtained the CDL document from the state where they live — to drive a truck without having a CDL...

Bottomley Enterprises opens new trucking terminal in North Carolina

Bottomley Enterprises, a family-owned carrier, recently opened a new trucking terminal in Mount Airy, North Carolina.

The company’s new estimated $13 million, 33,000 square-foot terminal will create approximately 100 new jobs, according to the Mt. Airy News.
