DP World and the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) have officially inaugurated the new South Container Terminal at Jeddah Islamic Port, following a three-year project that has more than doubled its capacity from 1.8 million to 4 million TEU a year. The expansion also opens the way for further expansion to a capacity of 5 million TEU, with additional ship-to-shore equipment scheduled to be deployed as demand grows.

RAK Ports promotes Saqr 2.0 project

RAK Ports in Ras al Khaimah has in recent weeks launched its new Saqr 2.0 deep water port development project, which will focus on the liquid bulk, project cargo and break bulk segments, while also developing facilities for shiprepair and recycling.

Safaga terminal equipment investment gathers pace

AD Ports Group is preparing to receive three new Panamax ship-to-shore cranes from Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co. Sohar starts dredging for Marsa LNG project

Jebel Ali cargo volumes reach highest level for almost a decade
