Truckers will hit more areas of severe storms the next few days from the Plains all the way to the Ohio Valley. While a major outbreak with numerous tornadoes is unlikely, drivers should still pay attention and remain weather aware.

Severe storm threat rising for truckers in Plains, Midwest

After a weekend of severe storms and tornadoes in the Plains, another round is likely Monday. Truckers will have to be on their toes.

The National Weather Service received more than 500 reports of tornadoes, damaging winds and large hail Friday through Sunday, most of them in parts of the heartland.

Severe storms brewing for weekend truckers in heartland

Truckers may hit multiple rounds of severe weather in the nation’s heartland this weekend, with more possible next week.

At least two low-pressure systems with connected cold fronts will move through the Plains and Midwest over the next few days, with a third system developing Monday.
