LNG production begins at Cameron LNG export terminal

Total announced that the Cameron LNG project has achieved first LNG production from train 1. The project will begin exports in the following weeks. Phase 1 of the Cameron LNG project of 13.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) capacity includes three LNG trains of 4.5 Mtpa each.

Cameron LNG project is operated by Cameron LNG LLC jointly owned by Sempra Energy (50.2%), Total (16.6%), Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (16.6%) and Mitsubishi/NYK (16.6%).

Lebanon ‘greenlights’ 2nd offshore licensing round

Lebanon’s Council of Ministers gave the green light on the launch of the Second Offshore Licensing Round (SOLR) on April 4. The Council has invited companies to issue their bids for the available acreage. According to Petroleum-Geo Services (PGS), a Norwegian seismic company, the interested parties are to submit their applications for Blocks 1, 2, 5, 8 and 10 before the 31st January 2020.

Maersk completes sale of shares in Total

Maersk Oil Trading and Investments (MOTI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Danish shipping giant Møller – Mærsk, announced that it completed the sale of its existing ordinary shares in French oil and gas company Total S.A.
