Niche transatlantic carrier Independent Container Line (ICL) is to move its UK call from Liverpool to Southampton to improve schedule reliability.

After last week revealing that CMA CGM-owned container carrier APL was to concentrate on the transpacific and intra-Asia trades, it appeared it is now set to make a partial return to the transatlantic market.

$150m profit turnaround for Hapag-Lloyd in Q1, ‘but Q2 will be tougher’

The UK port of Liverpool has secured a transatlantic service to the US east coast after the 2M partner of Maersk Line and MSC decided to make the temporary TA4 call permanent.
