New transit intermodal service launched from China to Europe

The freight transport company TransContainer has started a new intermodal container service, connecting China with Germany via the Russian Ust-Luga Container Terminal (ULCT) of the Port of Ust-Luga.

The Russian intermodal container operator PJSC TransContainer has joined forces with Pantos Logistics and the Polish company PKP LHS, to provide a regular multimodal service linking South Korea with Poland via the Russian Far East and Ukraine.

Maersk to double frequency of sea-rail AE19 service for capacity-hit shippers

Maersk is to double the frequency of its AE19 rail-sea service between South Korea and Northern Europe, as shippers and forwarders on the trade continue to struggle to secure ocean and air freight capacity.

TransContainer is developing a new route from Russia to China

The first test batch (31 containers) was sent in February from Kleshchikha station through the Makhalino – Hunchun border crossing. Trains in this direction can become a regular service, which in the same way as a route through Zabaykalsk-Manchuria will connect Russia and China directly.

New railway route from Yekaterinburg to China
