New EC president unveils Green Deal: how to make Europe climate-neutral by 2050

The new European Commission president today presented the policies of the European Green Deal, which have been largely welcomed by clean transport groups. 
Ursula von der Leyen announced a package of measures to make Europe climate-neutral by 2050, which include reducing emissions by half in the next 10 years, a €100bn fund to finance the change, a carbon border tax and various industry initiatives.

MSC starts bunkering with greener blend of fuel oil as it looks to cut emissions

MSC said it has started to bunker some of its vessels calling at Rotterdam with a blend of fuel oil containing biofuels, as it strives to be seen to be reducing its carbon footprint.
The carrier did not specify how many ships are to be involved, or the cost implication.
