Daimler recalls Freightliner chassis for faulty valve stems for second time

Daimler Trucks North America is conducting a second recall and expanding the population of Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. (FCCC) products because an undetected leaky valve stem could drain tires of air, leading to a crash.

Kodiak Robotics getting more than tire data from Bridgestone partnership

Tiremaker Bridgestone Americas will integrate its smart-sensing technologies into autonomous trucks from Kodiak Robotics and make an undisclosed minority investment in the startup software developer..

American Tire Distributors taps OneRail platform for on-demand deliveries

With time an important factor in vehicle downtime, American Tire Distributors (ATD) has been working to improve the time for customers to receive replacement tires.

The latest tool in that process is the OneRail delivery orchestration platform. OneRail offers a cloud-based platform for same-day and on-demand delivery of goods. ATD plans to leverage OneRail’s 4.6 million driver network to expand its ATD Express expedited tire delivery program.
