Unifeeder invests in new methanol powered container vessels

Unifeeder Group has signed a long-term time-charter agreement for two new methanol-capable container feeder vessels and has an option for additional two similar vessels.

In particular, the German-based ship owning group Elbdeich Reederei will build and manage the 1,250 TEU vessels which will be delivered in 2026.

Box lines revise services in Europe

Aiming to optimise and improve their network, several container lines have announced changes in their European services.

First of all, CMA CGM has decided to revise its GTL service again. According to DynaLiners report, the French ocean carrier will remove Benghazi, Malta (one of the visits), Piraeus

DP World’s firms add new UAE coastal service

DP World-owned companies, P&O Maritime Logistics and Unifeeder, have established a new route in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) using modified and efficient multi-carrying vessels (MCVs).

The two companies have introduced a new coastal service for the UAE, connecting Jebel Ali port to other ports around the country, aiming to ease supply chain bottlenecks.

Hamburg to deploy feeders on intra-terminal container transfers to reduce road congestion

Feeder ships are expected to be used for container transfers between the major box terminals in the port of Hamburg in Germany from 1 November with the aim to reduce the number of truck journeys between the terminals, shorten waiting times and decrease CO2 emissions.

Unifeeder launches new service from Lithuania to UK

Associated British Ports (ABP) and DP World-owned Unifeeder have launched a new service from Klaipeda in Lithuania to the Port of Immingham, Lincolnshire, UK.

The new route is a weekly sailing offering faster transit times, with the vessel leaving Klaipeda on Fridays and Immingham on Mondays.

The Danish logistics company Unifeeder has chosen its compatriot technology firm ZeroNorth for full suite of optimisation services.
