Venture Global swoops on 9 in-build LNG carriers

Arlington, Va., headquartered U.S. LNG export terminal operator Venture Global LNG is getting into vessel ownership. Yesterday, it announced the acquisition of nine LNG carriers currently under construction by an undisclosed South Korean shipbuilder (or shipbuilders). New Louisiana LNG project to employ carbon capture technology

Venture Global LNG is to invest more than $10 billion in a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility in Cameron Parish, La., that will employ carbon capture and sequestration technology (CCS) to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
