NTSB: Unidentified source of fire led to ‘Logger’ sinking

The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) issued an investigation report on the fire onboard the fishing vessel ‘Logger’ while underway in Bering Sea, off Alaska in July 2018. The investigation could not establish the exact cause of the fire.

USCG responds to three tugboats sinking on Illinois River

The Coast Guard reported that three vessels sunk on the Illinois River near Hardin, Illinois, Sunday, July 7. According to the coastguard’s statement, the sinking boats were holding about 4,850 gallons of diesel and oil.

Chinese hit and run against Filipino vessel spikes tensions

As local sources report, a Filipino fishing boat, that had 22 fishermen onboard, sank after being hit by an alleged Chinese vessel, in Reed Bank, in the South China Sea. Hamburg’s restored wooden ship sinks after collision with container ship

A recently restored wooden sailing ship sunk as it collided with a container ship in Hamburg. Because of the quick response of five rescue boats which where in the area when the accident happened, all 43 passengers were rescued.

Viking Cruises says Viking Sigyn captain mistakenly accused for previous accident
