ICTSI Australian terminal adds six Kalmar’s automated box carriers

Victoria International Container Terminal (VICT) has taken delivery of six new automated container carriers (ACC) from Kalmar.

The new machines were unloaded at the Port of Melbourne from the built-in-2014 Eemslift Dafne, expanding VICT’s fleet to a total of 17 units.

The fleet expansion is expected to further enhance container movement between automated ship-to-shore cranes on the terminal’s quayside and auto stacking cranes on the land side.

The port equipment manufacturing company Kalmar has received a repeat order of six Automatic Stacking Cranes (ASC) from Victoria International Container Terminal (VICT).
