Wärtsilä opened an International Maritime Cyber Centre of Excellence (IMCCE) yesterday (Oct. 16) in Singapore. The IMCCE consists of a Maritime Cyber Emergency Response Team (MCERT) and a cyber academy. The IMCCE is a world’s first industry solution for the marine industry, founded by Wärtsilä together with its strategic partner in cyber security, Templar Executives. Wärtsilä eyes 15% GHG reduction from gas engines by 2020

As part of its efforts to minimize the environmental impact of its products, Finnish technology group Wärtsilä said it has set a target to cut Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions from its gas engines by a massive 15% between 2015 and 2020.

Wärtsilä to provide equipment to UK’s largest marine simulation training centre

Wärtsilä will provide a full scope of marine simulators for a new training facility at Solent University’s Warsash School of Maritime Science and Engineering, located in Southampton, England.
