Wingcopter receives funding from Japan’s Drone Fund

Japan’s Drone Fund III has made an undisclosed investment in Wingcopter, the company announced Wednesday.

Wingcopter, a developer and manufacturer of unmanned delivery drones, has secured $22 million in Series A funding. The company said the money will be used to help it scale its health care-related applications, including COVID-19 vaccines.

Buffalo Wild Wings to be flown by drone

A Mobile, Alabama franchisee of a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant wants to deliver food to nearby customers’ doors by drone.

To test the service, Brian Jordan of Potters Wings Mobile partnered with Deuce Drone. The two companies plan to begin local food deliveries by drone in late August.
