Questions being asked after box ship runs aground blocking Suez Canal

The 20,388 teu containership Ever Given has been freed after grounding against the seawall of the Suez Canal, and traffic on the waterway is expected to resume once the vessel is towed to an anchorage for inspection.

Bangladesh to crack down on wide non-compliance with VGM regulations

Bangladesh’s maritime administrator has moved to strictly enforce Verified Gross Mass (VGM) requirements for containers amid increasing incidents in Chittagong port and beyond.

Surveyors and salvors on board as Maersk Eindhoven arrives at Yokohama

Maersk has confirmed that the 13,200 Maersk Eindhoven, which last week lost 260 containers overboard, is on course for the APM Terminals facility in Yokohama, for repairs.
