Maersk orders 20 LNG dual fueled containerships

While Maersk may have started the momentum towards green methanol as a marine fuel, its concluding batch of orders placed under its fleet renewal plan announced in August cover 20 LNG dual fueled containerships with a total capacity of 300,000 TEU. ONE orders twelve 13,000 TEU methanol dual-fuel boxships

Ocean Network Express (ONE) has signed ship building contracts with Jiangnan Shipyard and Yangzijiang Shipbuilding for the construction of twelve 13,000 TEU methanol dual-fuel container vessels.

Each shipyard will build six vessels and are all scheduled to be delivered from 2027.
