Port of Savannah’s container trade up by 12%

The Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) achieved a 12% increase in containerized trade at the Port of Savannah during September. It also announced a 37.6% increase in Ro-Ro trade at the Port of Brunswick.

Namely, the Port of Savannah handled 364,090 TEUs container units last month, an increase of nearly 39,000 TEUs over September 2017. GPA also ended the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2019 with 1.1 million TEUs handled. The performance was a 10.8% growth, comparing to the first quarter of FY2018.
