ExxonMobil introduced EMF.5, its range of engineered marine fuels, specifically designed to help operators comply with the IMO 2020 global sulphur cap. The company says that the new product does not compromise fuel quality.
EMF.5 fuels meet the ISO 8217-2017 specification, but according to ExxonMobil, they have passed fit-for-use assessments, in order to ensure that they are safe and efficient when they switch to low sulphur fuels.
