IMO Approves MARPOL Amendments To Reduce Vessel Emissions

The IMO approved draft amendments to MARPOL on short-term measures to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from commercial shipping.
The drafted amendments to the MARPOL convention would require ships to combine a technical and an operational approach to reduce their carbon intensity.
