Fremantle Ports moves a quarter of its boxes by rail in March

Fremantle Ports transported 16,807 TEU via rail in March, which is 24.3% of the overall container volumes handled in the port, exceeding the target of 20% of Australia’s government.

“That percentage not only well exceeds the state government target of 20%, but is significantly higher than the five-ports average of 11.4% for Australia,” commented Fremantle Ports’ CEO, Michael Parker.
