NORTH American rail volume for the week ending October 14 for 12 reporting US, Canadian and Mexican railways totaled 335,745 carloads, down 2.9 per cent compared with the same week last year, and 347,146 intermodal units, down 1.4 per cent compared with last year, according to the Association of American Railroads (R).
