On the sidelines of the COP28 climate change summit, the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) and the Norwegian company, Scatec, signed an MoU aimed at establishing a facility to provide green fuels ship bunkering in East Port Said. The investment cost is estimated at about $1.1 billion and it is anticipated that annual production capacity will reach 100,000 tons of green methanol by 2027.
