DP World Southampton announced the launch of new hybrid equipment that will enable it further reduce its emissions and carbon footprint. According to the port’s statement, the new hybrid equipment commenced its operation this week.
Specifically, the 12 new hybrid straddle carriers use 20% less fuel than standard machines and are the most efficient on the market.
In addition, DP World Southampton has already ordered additional 12 hybrid machines that are planned to be delivered by the end of 2019....
