Coast Guard responds to barge aground in Alaska

The Coast Guard responded Wednesday to a fuel barge that settled in the mud and began to show signs of structural stress while offloading petroleum product on the Naknek River in Naknek, Alaska.

No pollution has been observed and no one has been injured. Product is currently being offloaded from the barge, and approximately 50,330 gals. of gasoline and 95,410 gals. of diesel remained onboard Wednesday afternoon.

New roles for Michael Roberts and Parker Harrison at Crowley Maritime

Crowley Maritime has announced that Michael Roberts is due to move to Washington, to serve as senior vice president for government relations.
